Aurochs Brewing Company Debuts its Belgian-Style Pale Ale at Beers of the Burgh

This past Saturday, we debuted our Belgian-Style Pale Ale at Beers of the Burgh. Beers of the Burgh was a great event with over 25 local breweries. Proceeds from the event go to supporting Neighborworks Western Pennsylvania and their mission of financial empowerment that promotes home ownership and stable communities.

The event was well attended, and we poured over 300 samples of our Belgian-Style Pale Ale. This is the second beer in our lineup, and a perfect complement to our flagship Aurochs White Ale. The Belgian-Style Pale Ale is about balance and breaking down barriers. Its light roast character with notes of toast and biscuits are complemented by spicy and floral notes from Styrian Golding and Cascade hops. The product was well received. Here is some of the feedback we got:

“I would not have known this beer was gluten-free if you had not told me.”
“This is the best gluten-free beer I have ever had.”
“This is my favorite beer at the festival.”
“This is gluten-free? This is [expletive] good.”

This tasting was a big first step for us as a company. It was our first public tasting, and it went really well. We are grateful for the support we have gotten so far to date. So many people have helped us get to this point. We also want to offer a special thanks to Ryan’s fiancé, Emily, and Doug’s wife, Amy, who helped pour the beers and meet the demand for the steady stream of people at our table.

Beers of the Burgh is the first of many tastings we have planned for the summer. We will be pouring at Bocktown Monaca on April 26th and Bocktown Robinson on April 30th. Both tastings start at 6PM. Stay tuned for more tastings as we add them to our calendar in advance of our grand opening at our brewery.
